Forging a Community Amongst Shareholders

And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching
and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42) .

The earliest Christians were devoted to fellowship because they had Christ in common. Shareholders have a common mind, love, spirit, and purpose. As members of a covenant family, they have a longing to be with one another and to enjoy a deeper union with Christ as they share in the work of the gospel. When Christians participate in the Lord’s work as shareholders and friends, a community is forged.

It is our desire at Christ Church to foster a growing and flourishing community of believers. To help accomplish this we are making a few changes to our Wednesday evening offering for a season. While the Spirit is still revealing to us what those changes should be, beginning March 16^th we anticipate offering a meal, childcare, children’s instruction, and other offerings that will aid in bringing the saints at Christ Church more closely together. Over the next several Sundays, more information regarding the particular offerings will be shared during the first few minutes of the Sunday school hour.

The work of the Lord flies on the wings of prayer and so we are asking you to partner with us as we seek the Lord’s guidance in this exciting new season in the life of Christ Church. Much like Abraham, we are embarking on a journey and the destination is yet unknown. However, we are moving in the Spirit and trust the Lord will lead us to His perfect will.

We hope you will be encouraged to join us on Wednesday evenings and to invite others from your community to share in this time. We look forward to watching the Lord knit His children together in the perfect bond of unity!

You will need to sign-up for the Wednesday meal and register for infant-4 year old childcare, and do this each week you plan to participate. There will be a link on the home page as well as below. Supper sign-ups and childcare  registration open each Thursday preceding the study and close each Tuesday at noon. Please register each week between Thursday and Tuesday.
